Startup Delayer version 3.0 build 359 released

By Cliff Cawley on 16th February 2014

Build 359 has some new minor features as well as an often requested feature "Code signing". This means you'll no longer get the large warning on screen when installing Startup Delayer (with UAC enabled). You'll also know that the executable wasn't modified at all and really did come from r2 Studios.

I've moved away from the previous installer technology I was using too and this build now features a new installer system which properly detects missing dependencies such as Dot Net 3.5.

This build also includes updated languages and some fixes. Read more for the full change list.

You can grab the build from the Product page or use the Update button in the Options Window of Startup Delayer.

Changes in this build:

  • Added Description column to Startup Applications which maps to the Executable File Description for better identification
  • Added codesigning to Startup Delayer executables as well as the Setup executable
  • Added several retries before asking for user assistance when attempting to write log files out to disk
  • When adding new Applications, modified to use the description instead of the Product name
  • Updated Languages: Hungarian, Dutch, Italian
  • Fixed idleness being monitored while apps with arbitrary time values were launched. It's now ignored.
  • Fixed the Panel that displays Startup Errors from covering the columns when first started
  • Modified list refresh to remember selection
  • Fixed application properties not getting updated if changed from Normal to Disabled in the properties window
